Our Founders

Rafiq Ahmed

Co-Founder & CEO

Rafiq brings a background in strategy, operations, and pricing analytics to Serif Health. Before founding the company, he was a consultant at Bain & Company, advising on investments across healthcare IT, health plans, and provider organizations.

He later served as a General Manager at HotelTonight (acquired by Airbnb), where he focused on pricing strategy and marketplace dynamics—experience that now informs Serif's approach to healthcare pricing transparency.

Rafiq holds a BA from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he graduated as a Baker Scholar.

Matt Robben

Matt Robben

Co-Founder & CTO

Matt leads engineering at Serif Health, bringing deep experience building clinical and data infrastructure. Prior to Serif, he led clinical software engineering at One Medical, where his team built core EHR capabilities including referrals, orders, and e-prescribing, achieving EPCS and SureScripts certification.

He has also held engineering leadership roles at Truepic, Dropbox, and Microsoft.

Matt holds a BS in Computer Engineering from Northwestern University.
